Teac A-7030 SL 2-Track 19/38 cm/sec with 1/4-Track Playback, Pristine
Dream as new condition.
One of the best tape recorders of the 1970s, in virtually new condition. This top-of-the-line model from Japan's most renowned tape recorder manufacturer, with 19 and 38 cm/sec (7.5 and 15 ips) tape speeds and 2-track capability, delivers studio-quality sound. It was manufactured in various versions from 1969 to 1975 and was superseded by the A-7300.
Unlike the 1969 version, the SL version already featured ferrite heads, which are known for their low wear and excellent sound quality. The oscillator block operates at 100 kHz, guaranteeing outstanding erase attenuation, low tape noise and very good high-frequency dynamics. Both, the level and the bias can be externally adjusted for different tape types; this was not available on any consumer machine at the time. You would never guess it was manufactured in 1971 just by listening to it.
The optical and technical condition is exceptional. There are only minimal signs of use if you look closely and search for them. The tape guides, however, show absolutely no wear. Realistically, the machine has only 50 operating hours. Inside and outside, it's like new; there isn't even a hint of patina.
The A-7030SL comes with the original reel spacers and hub adapters, cable set, and empty reel. A true vintage machine.
